How To Know If A Woman Is Interested In You
Common discussion among buddies in a bar:
- Buddy 1: “I’m sure Sally likes you”
- Buddy 2: “How can you tell? I’m not so sure of that!”
- Buddy 1: “Well, dude, it’s obvious”
- Buddy 2: “Not so obvious to me, how can you tell?”
- Buddy 1: “…”
I’m sure you’re also curious to learn how to tell if a girl is interested in you. Here are some examples of signs a girl may give. You want to train yourself to recognize them on a regular basis. So here we go.
Level One: Engage the Interaction
Here I describe some signs a woman may give as an invitation for you to initiate a conversation with her:
If eye contact happens from a distance, she holds it for a second.
She tosses her hair (to see if you look).
She looks back and glances at you a few times.
She smiles at you.
She stands nearby (proximity).
While walking by, she turns her body toward you or brushes against you.
She asks you for a light or the time or in any way initiates something.
Level Two: Keep Talking
Those are signs of interest that indicate you’re invited to continue the conversation:
She asks for your name.
She reinitiates the conversation when you stop talking.
She asks about your personal information.
She tries to get rapport and build comfort with you.
She’s disagreeing but laughing.
She’s punching your arm but laughing.
Level 3: take action
After a woman has given you one or several of the following signs of interest, you may escalate the situation by moving her into another location so that you can be alone with her and get more intimate:
She is playful and tries to challenge you.
She plays with her hair while talking to you.
She repeatedly touches you in any way.
She asks if you have a girlfriend or she mentions your girlfriend without knowing if you actually have one.
She comes back after having gone to the bathroom.
She holds eye contact for longer periods of time when she speaks with you.
If it comes up that you like something, she mentions that she likes it too, or needs someone to show her how to do it.
She calls you a player or a heartbreaker (that does not mean she does not like players: pay attention to her actions, not her words).
She invents reasons to be near you, interact with you, or be alone with you.
But remember not to linger too long for the initial conversation. Build her interest to the max, get her number or whatsoever, leave and she’ll continue thinking of you!
Beware of Fake Signs
I want to finish this article with a warning: girls may fake signs of interest and lie to you. For example, a girl may show signs of interest while she is asking you to buy her a drink. She’s not attracted to you but merely manipulating you. And of course, if you’re easily manipulated, she will find you less attractive. She might give you signs just to keep you around as free entertainment.
Women will also sometimes show some signs just to see if they can easily get you to return them. If you reciprocate the signs too easily, without making them work for it, you have just become another notch on their validation belt and they may pursue greater challenges elsewhere. Don’t jump on a woman just because she compliments you.
