Dates: How to Keep’em Cheap but Cool
It is quite of a challenge to come up with new, interesting, exciting date ideas. But here’s the good news: you don’t necessarily have to find something extravagant!
Onward with some of my favourite ideas.
First principle: you have to take her into your world. Don’t accommodate her. In other words, do not try to imagine something fancy just because you got a get together with a girl.
Do what you like
If you like to play pool, play a game with her.
By the way, pool halls are good, especially if you’re good at it. You can smoke the girl in a few games. And the hotter the girl the better it works. Pool halls are also good because you can keep a playful competitive atmosphere going. And there are good opportunities to get a little bit physical with a girl there – with light touching and brief kisses.
Go shopping. Go window shopping. You don’t necessarily have to buy something. Try stuff on. Make fun of your date. Run around like little kids. Have escalator races. Add a twist. If you like, you can hit the second hand shops and buy her a crazy hat for 50 cents and ask her to put it on because she lost the bet on pool.
A walk through the park can be nice, ideally in the evening. It can set the mood real nicely. Of course in the daytime it is fine as well but you want to keep it lighter then. Bring a Frisbee to have some fun. Have a picnic.
Speaking of picnic. Here’s a special tip if you think that fits your style: Get a mango ($1), a lime ($0.33), a paper plate ($0.3), a plastic fork ($0.2) and a knife. Go to a park, or the beach is the best. and bring a couple of blankets to cuddle on. Cut up the mango and sprinkle the lime on top. Then feed her this healthy desert like a baby. And by that time you should be able to make out. The best thing is it cost you $1.38 only.
Remember, you’re not cheap, just creative. And do it only if you feel comfortable with it.
Have a plan
Have a plan. That’s the most important thing to do if you want to get consistent results with dates.
Choose any activity you enjoy. Look up if you think you’re short on ideas.
Then think of a way to initiate physical contact. Personally I like silly childhood games. Thumb wrestling is a favourite of mine.
Another waypoint is bringing the girl back to your place.
And so early on, you want to mention something unbelievably great – a new fish tank / website / home video / photos from your trip to whatever and tell her you’ll show it to her sometimes. Then casually bring up the topic later on in your interaction and use that as an excuse to suggest a move back to your pad.
Warning: don’t start with “hey, so do you want to see those pictures?” Be subtle. Bring the topic up first, then suggest the move like “you can come over to my place and see it, but I’ll have to kick you out fast ’cause I need to work early tomorrow”.
Of course if you play a musical instrument like guitar, you have an unfair advantage…
It’s about you
In the end you can still go to a coffee shop. And it does not have to be an interesting café.
You‘re the one who’s supposed to be interesting. Not the venue.
It doesn’t really matter what you do. Just be spontaneous and fun. And most of all: lead!
